Here you see the SODAQ board with the GPRSbee module and Solar Panel and Battery.

 

The Solar panel here is 1.5 W and the battery 2Ah. With this panel and battery the board can connect to the network twice per hour to upload data and the battery allows us to continue this even when there is no sunshine for a month.

 

So with this setup you can create truly autonomous systems for the Internet of Things. Possibilities are endless. We have been using them for mobile applications, in gardening and agriculture and robotics.
