SODAQ weather station
It all started with Weather Stations that we were building for remote locations. The SODAQ board was originally tailored for it, but soon we realised that it had much more potential and so we launched it as a universal prototyping platform.
But for people that don't want to do the tinkering themselves we now have launched the complete SODAQ Professional Weather Station.
We are using the industry grade Davis components like the 6410 anemometer and the Rain Collector II. For barometric pressure we use the high precision Bosch BMP 85 and for temperature and humidity we use the Sensirion SHT 2x.
All solar powered and uploading the weather data to the Internet, using our GPRSbee, at half hourly intervals. Meanwhile the (5 minute) data records are also logged on the SODAQ's internal flash memory, so even when a connection once in a while will fail, next time it connects the missing data will still be uploaded.
